Recommend Fukurō. Earn 20%.
When a colleague signs up through your link, you earn 20% of every payment they make in their first 12 months: subscriptions, credit packs, and lifetime deals. After 12 months, the commission ends.
How it works
- 01
Apply and get your link
Create a Fukurō account and apply from the affiliate panel. A person reviews every application. Once approved, you get your personal referral link in the panel.
- 02
Colleagues sign up through it
Share the link where you already recommend tools: lab meetings, course pages, newsletters, supervision. Visitors are asked to consent to a 90-day referral cookie, and your code also works as a ?ref parameter at signup.
- 03
Earn 20% for their first 12 months
You earn 20% of every payment each referred customer makes during their first 12 months from signup. Commissions are held for 30 days to absorb refunds, then become payable.
Commission
One rate. Every payment. Twelve months.
No tiers and no point systems. You earn cash on subscriptions, credit packs, and lifetime deals alike, and you can request a payout once your balance reaches $50.
| What they buy | What they pay | Your 20% |
|---|---|---|
| Starter, monthly | $24 per month | $4.80 per month |
| Professional, monthly | $49 per month | $9.80 per month |
| Starter, yearly | $199 per year | $39.80 per year |
| Professional, yearly | $499 per year | $99.80 per year |
| Credit pack | From $2.99 per pack | From $0.60 per pack |
Many students never subscribe and buy credit packs instead. Every pack a referred customer buys during their first 12 months pays commission too.
Illustrative figures at current prices, before refunds. Actual earnings depend on what the people you refer buy, and we do not promise any income.
The facts, upfront
Everything below is also in the affiliate terms. We would rather you read it here than find it later.
- What pays commission20% of every payment a referred customer makes in their first 12 months from signup: subscriptions, credit packs, and lifetime deals. After 12 months, commission on that customer ends.
- How tracking works, and when it failsA 90-day first-party cookie, set only with the visitor's consent, plus your ?ref code at signup as a fallback. The last click wins. If a visitor declines or clears cookies, or signs up in a different browser or on another device, the referral may not be credited.
- The 30-day holdEach commission is held for 30 days so refunds can be absorbed, then becomes payable. Refunds and chargebacks reverse the commission.
- Payouts from $50You request payouts yourself from the affiliate panel once your payable balance reaches $50.
- How we payIn Brazil: PIX, and a nota fiscal is required (CNPJ or MEI). Everywhere else: USD bank transfer, net of Brazilian withholding tax and bank fees. You are responsible for your own taxes.
- Who can joinJoining is free and requires a Fukurō account. A person reviews every application. Your own purchases never pay commission, and separately negotiated institutional agreements are excluded unless agreed in writing.
Four rules we enforce
Disclose the relationship
Say plainly that you earn a commission, wherever you share the link. Brazilian consumer law (CDC) and CONAR guidance, the US FTC Endorsement Guides, and EU consumer-protection law all require it.
Absolutely no spam
No unsolicited email, no bulk messages, no comment spam. Spam of any kind means immediate termination and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
No self-referrals
Buying through your own link, referring accounts you control, and cookie stuffing pay nothing and close your account.
Promote honestly
Fukurō reviews papers. It does not write them and it does not guarantee acceptance. Never claim otherwise, and never promise people income from this program.
Frequently asked questions
Who can join?
Anyone with a Fukurō account: PhD students, postdocs, professors, writing centers, newsletter authors. Apply from the affiliate panel. A person reviews every application, and we may decline those that do not fit the program.
What exactly do I earn?
20% of every payment a referred customer makes during their first 12 months from signup. Example: a colleague subscribes to the Professional plan at $49 per month through your link. You earn $9.80 on each monthly payment, up to $117.60 over their first year. After 12 months, commission on that customer ends.
When and how do I get paid?
Each commission is held for 30 days to absorb refunds, then becomes payable. From $50 you can request a payout in the affiliate panel. In Brazil we pay by PIX and require a nota fiscal (CNPJ or MEI). Elsewhere we pay by USD bank transfer, net of Brazilian withholding tax and bank fees. Taxes are your responsibility.
How does tracking work, and when does it fail?
When someone opens your link, we ask for consent to set a 90-day first-party cookie, and the last clicked link wins. Your ?ref code at signup works as a fallback. Tracking fails when visitors decline or clear cookies, or sign up in another browser or on another device. Some genuine referrals will not be credited, and we say that openly.
Can I refer my own lab, students, or co-authors?
Colleagues, students, and co-authors: yes, with the commission disclosed. Yourself: never. Purchases you make and accounts you control never pay commission.
Do I have to disclose that I earn a commission?
Yes, in every channel, every time. One plain sentence is enough, for example: 'If you sign up through this link, I earn a commission.' Brazilian CDC and CONAR guidance, the US FTC Endorsement Guides, and EU consumer-protection law require it.
Can I run ads or register Fukurō domains?
Ads for your own content are fine, but bidding on Fukurō brand keywords is not, and neither is registering domains, social handles, or app names that use the Fukurō name. Coupon and deal sites need written approval first.
