Bigger reach, negotiated terms.

For creators, consultants, editing services, and institutions with a real audience in academia. The standard 20% for 12 months is the floor: rate, duration, and structure can be negotiated in writing.

Every application is read and answered by a person.

Three kinds of partner

Creators and educators

Methodology YouTubers, academic-writing newsletters, course creators.

  • Standard 20% commission as the starting point
  • Rate and duration negotiable in writing for genuine reach
  • Clear disclosure in your own voice, always
  • Honest-claims rule: Fukurō reviews papers, it never writes them

Consultants and editing services

Thesis coaches, academic editors, editing agencies.

  • Commission on what your referred clients pay Fukurō
  • Every client keeps their own account and owns their data
  • No reselling and no shared logins
  • Terms agreed in writing before you start

Institutions and tools

Universities, libraries, and integration tools such as reference managers.

  • Universities and libraries: institutional accounts with volume pricing
  • Integrations: co-marketing, no commission mechanics required
  • Custom agreements, always in writing

How negotiated terms work

Everyone starts from the same standard: 20% of every payment a referred customer makes in their first 12 months. That is the floor of the partner track, not the ceiling.

What can move, in writing: the commission rate, how long the commission window runs, and how the arrangement is structured. What earns better terms is genuine reach: an audience of researchers who act on your recommendations.

What never moves: disclosure of the relationship, the ban on spam, and honest claims. Fukurō does not write papers and does not guarantee acceptance, and no agreement will ever say otherwise.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the affiliate program?

The affiliate program is self-serve: apply in the panel, get a link, earn the standard 20% on each referred customer's first 12 months. The partner track covers everything negotiated case by case, in writing: rate, duration, and structure. The rules are identical in both: disclosure, no spam, honest claims.

What do you look for in applications?

Genuine reach into academia and an honest voice. That can be a methodology channel, a writing newsletter, a thesis-coaching practice, an editing agency, or a research tool. Audience size matters less than whether researchers act on what you recommend.

How do client accounts work for consultants?

Every client creates their own Fukurō account, keeps it, and owns their data. Reselling access, sharing logins, or running client manuscripts through your own account is not allowed. You earn on what referred clients pay Fukurō directly.

We are a university or library. Is this the right door?

Usually not. Institutions are better served by an institutional account with volume pricing and centralized billing than by commissions. Schedule a demo and we will walk through it together.

What about integrations and co-marketing?

For tools researchers already use, such as reference managers, we prefer co-marketing: no commission mechanics required. Apply with the integration type and describe the tool, and we will take it from there.
